SmartMould Table MT/S – Construction of the Injection Mould Service Table
In the standard version, the SmartMould Table MT/S features a welded frame that ensures optimal stability and safety during injection mold servicing and maintenance. One platform remains stationary while the other slides along linear guides with an end-position lock — making it significantly easier to open the mold and access its interior. Both platforms can be rotated 360° and locked every 90°, allowing unrestricted access to every part of the tool.
The load-bearing platforms made of heat-treated steel 1.2312 offer exceptional resistance to damage and wear, ensuring years of trouble-free operation. The injection mold service table maintains high resistance to deflection even under full load. SmartMould Table MT/S – Configuration Options for Your Mould Service Table
When choosing the SmartMould Table (MT) in the standard version without mechanical angles, it should be remembered that in the future it will not be possible to mount them. This is due to the lack of the necessary CNC machining, necessary to create appropriate mounts and guides on the table platform, in which mechanical angles can work stably. Therefore, it is worth considering in advance whether additional protection of the molds will not be needed in the future (e.g. when opening the tool or removing cores).
HydroAssist System and the choice of angles
If we plan to use the HydroAssist System – a hydraulic support system with a double-sided actuator and a manual pump – magnetic angles may not provide sufficient pressure when opening heavy injection moulds on the mould service table. There is then a risk that the mold halves will slide on the table, which will make it difficult to safely and precisely unfold the tool. In such a configuration, it is advisable to use mechanical angles, of course provided that the table (MT) has already been factory-prepared for their installation and guidance.
