Transport platform for injection moulds and heavy tools in the production hall

MouldMover, our manual transport platform on wheels, was designed primarily for the safe movement of injection moulds, but in practice it works just as well for transporting other heavy tools and production components inside the plant. MouldMover is intended to operate on hard, level, paved indoor floors and is not designed for outdoor transport over soft, uneven or unstable ground. It is a solution for companies that want to improve internal transport of large loads without using an overhead crane, especially in areas with limited crane reach, narrow aisles, service stations, or when moving tools between halls.

See the platform at work – a short video shows safe transport of injection moulds and other heavy tools in the hall, without using an overhead crane.

Video: MouldMover – manual transport platform for injection moulds and heavy tools up to 10 t. The forklift truck acts only as the drive, while the entire load rests on the platform.
The video shows transport of injection moulds and other heavy tools on the MouldMover platform up to 5 t, where the forklift serves only as a drive source, without lifting the load and without using an overhead crane.

MouldMover carries much higher loads than a standard forklift truck. In this system, the forklift truck serves only as a source of drive – it can push or pull the platform, while the load weight rests on the platform and its running gear. This makes it possible to transport tools whose mass cannot be safely lifted on forks or moved by the forklift alone.

We manufacture platforms as standard in versions up to 10 t. Higher capacities and larger dimensions are available on individual request to suit specific moulds or other heavy tools transported within the plant.

Non-powered transport platform for injection moulds and heavy tools up to 10 t

The platform is a practical addition to the transport system in plastics processing plants, tool shops and maintenance departments. It enables efficient movement of heavy tools without lifting them with a forklift and without involving an overhead crane. It is especially useful where:
– the overhead crane is out of reach or temporarily occupied,
– space is limited (process aisles, service zones, corridors),
– heavy tools must be moved between halls,
– the forklift has limited lifting capacity and should be used only as a drive source.

Platform features:

  • Non-powered platform designed to be pushed or pulled by a forklift truck (the forklift is only a drive source, with no need to lift the load).
  • Fork pockets and lifting eye bolts included, allowing transport also by overhead crane if needed.
  • Smooth transport of large moulds and heavy tools even in areas inaccessible to the crane, including between halls and in narrow routes.
  • Platform dimensions: 2000 x 1500 mm, height approx. 525 mm.
  • Standard load capacity from 1 to 10 t confirmed by an FEM/FEA report; higher capacities available on individual request.
  • Four high-capacity swivel castors with low rolling resistance ensure stable guidance and easy manoeuvring in the hall.
  • Large loading surface lined with anti-slip, shock-absorbing rubber protects the tool from sliding and damage during transport.
  • Simple, fast operation: the operator can quickly connect the platform to a forklift and move the load exactly where it is needed.

If you need a MouldMover platform with larger dimensions or higher capacity than the standard 10 t, we will prepare a solution matched to your specific moulds or tools and working conditions in your plant. Please contact us – we will advise the right variant and layout for transport in your hall.
