Where are heavy-duty transport platforms used?
Transport platforms and heavy-duty trolleys solve one of the most common internal logistics challenges in manufacturing: how to move a heavy load safely and efficiently without a crane— particularly where space is limited and the operation is routine and repetitive.
Injection moulding facilities and tool rooms Injection moulds can weigh from several hundred kilograms to several tonnes. A transport platform allows moulds to be moved between the injection moulding machine, the service table and the mould store without engaging an overhead crane for every changeover — reducing downtime and operator effort.
Press shops and stamping tool rooms Press dies, blanking tools and stamping dies are large and awkward to handle. A low-profile transport platform with wheel locks allows safe movement between the press and the service bay or tool store.
Metal machining — machining centres, milling and turning Heavy workholding fixtures, jigs, boring heads and tooling assemblies can be moved between machines and the tool room without a crane — wherever the floor surface permits.
Maintenance and machine servicing Electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, shafts and other heavy components requiring replacement or inspection can be moved on a transport platform directly to the assembly area or repair bench.
Internal logistics between workstations Wherever heavy components need to be moved regularly between workstations and the use of a crane or forklift is impractical due to available space.
Build and configuration options
Each transport platform can be built and configured to match specific process requirements and load characteristics.
The working surface is available in several finishes — plain steel, anti-slip rubber mat or chequer plate. At the customer’s request, additional elements can be added to the platform surface to suit a specific application and load type.
Wheels are selected to match the intended load capacity. Wheel locks and manoeuvring handles are available on request.
The frame is welded from S355 structural steel profiles and powder coated.

What load capacity do your transport platforms offer? We offer platforms in a range of load capacities, specified individually for each order. When enquiring, please provide the weight and dimensions of the load to be transported and we will propose the appropriate solution.
Are the platforms suitable for very heavy moulds or tooling? Yes. For heavy moulds and tooling we use a reinforced frame welded from S355 steel profiles with wheels selected for the required load capacity.
Can platforms be made to non-standard dimensions? Yes. We fulfil custom orders — different footprint dimensions, increased load capacity, special surface finish. Contact us with your requirements.
Can the platform be used with a SmartMould Table service table? Yes — the platform working height can be matched to the SmartMould Table, allowing a mould to be rolled directly onto the table without using a crane.
